I taught secondary ELA and AVID for twelve years — long enough to know most “teacher support” is either a motivational poster or a 40-slide PD that sends you home with more work than you walked in with.
Ms. G’s Room 30 is the opposite. Real talk and done-for-you resources for grades 6–12 ELA teachers who are out of hours and out of patience. No toxic positivity, no “just try harder,” no learning curve — things you can open and use in about 60 seconds.
I write about what actually happens in a classroom: the first week nobody warns you about, the parent emails you don’t have time to draft, teaching kids to use AI without losing your mind. Some of it’s free, some’s a few dollars in my shop. All of it’s built to take something off your plate.
These days I’m out of the classroom myself — I work as a publishing partner to school districts, bringing the same teacher-first, done-for-you resources to whole systems instead of one room at a time. Same mission, bigger reach.
It’s reading a room in the first thirty seconds and knowing which kid needs you before they raise a hand. It’s the pivot when your perfect plan dies on impact. It’s the exact question that makes a quiet kid lean in — the moment rigor finally clicks for the student who’d already decided they were “bad at this.”
We’ve called teachers “tired” for so long we forgot to call them what they are: skilled. That craft can’t be scripted, automated, or replaced — no matter how loud the panic gets.
I spent twelve years building it. It nearly cost me everything — and it’s still what I’m proudest of. So everything here exists for one reason: to honor the craft, and the humans who carry it.
